Canada Dream Come True
with Canadian Whitetail Television
Team BOG went in search of big bucks in the snowy tundra of Saskatchewan, Canada. The crew chose a remote location up north of Saskatoon and spent five days with Canadian Whitetail TV searching for giant Canadian bucks. Getting out to the blind before sunrise, team BOG patiently waited through the frigid temps and falling snow to see if they could spot an elusive Canadian whitetail. Rizen Media’s Joe Sir joined Kyle Smith from BOG in Saskatchewan and both Joe and Kyle were fortunate enough to fill their tags within the first few hours of their hunts.
Territory Profile
The area of northwest Saskatchewan that the BOG crew hunted is definitely one off the beaten path. Canadian Whitetail Television owner and personality Dean Partridge has been hunting this Canadian territory since his childhood. Kyle, from Team BOG, remarks how Canadian whitetails are an extremely different creature from their southern continental 48 brethren. The whitetail deer of Saskatchewan are built thicker and tougher to withstand the harsher winters Canada offers every year. With the remote nature of the area, the deer are not used to encountering people in the wilderness and have a completely different set of behaviors. The remote location, coupled with the wintery terrain, makes for bigger, better bucks.
